On The Homestead
Everyone has been working hard on the little projects on the homestead that seem to never end. Gathering up downed trees, cleaning brush etc. They spend about 2 hours a day on those projects if we have good weather. We had three false starts to spring. We have started hundreds of seeds in two different planting sessions so we hope the frosts didn’t hurt them too much.
I came home from work one day and all 4 little boys had on red shirts. I guess they all wanted to wear the same color. They had been running wild all day with no plans to stop.
While the main work on the cabin is done we have lots of little things to get done. I am so glad to see that shelf go. I love the new one.
Since I have been so busy with work I haven’t had much time or energy for the homestead. I’ve gotten pretty caught up on the business end and will be able to focus on the homestead some.
Our Adventures
Abigail and I attended one of those fun group painting party classes. The inspiration painting was adorable. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to watch Abigail do a painting start to finish. She usually doesn’t allow others to watch her. For the class they offer a base stencil so we have an outline to work with. I traced mine as did most everyone in the class. Abigail did hers freehand. I love how hers came out. She’s very talented.
Not much for an update this round but it didn’t want to get too far behind on the homestead journal.
Hope you have been well.
