Bernheim Forest Giants

I had a dentist appointment scheduled for today and when I realized it was down the road from Bernheim forest I thought it was a grand plan for a family adventure if the weather was cooperative. What I didn’t realize is that it was also Spring Break. And we didn’t have the usual school is in session benefits that homeschoolers enjoy.

Nonetheless we had a blast! We walked about 2 miles, there was a slight chill in the air but the sun was blazing.

We have never been here before. We made a kind of bucket list of things to do in Kentucky and Bernheim was on the list. Adding the forest giants was a bonus. We’d love to go back when they are gone, and it’s less people-y.
